Currently in Cleveland, the Traveler lives forever but has no idea who he was. It is as if his past was erased with each new body he enters. His eternal mission is to keep the hidden ancient ones from enslaving humanity when they finally attack after millenniums of studying and observing humanity.
The Traveler has companions in his quest to save mankind. Some are willing, but many are like Shannon who is too filled with self-abuse to know he has taken control of her physical and mental form as he has done with others. He knows the time is near when even an immortal might die, for the enemy has grown incredibly strong, and Armageddon appears likely. The Traveler is obligated to protect in a losing cause that could prove fatal
Though this is my second reading of the Soul Traveler, the novel remains as complex as a science fiction tale can be yet retains its ability to entertain the audience. The refreshing story line is so elaborate, readers will need two to three days to follow it. Even then, they still may not capture everything in a first read. The Traveler is an extremely complex protagonist who raises questions and paradoxes that will leave fans pondering answers long after completing the book. Whether the audience accompanies Mr. Pearsongreer to Cleveland or Atlantis, one thing is certain in a world that is constantly changing: science fiction fans will appreciate this cerebral yet action-laden tale.
